PE and Fast Track Security Line at LAX

The twice I've flown PE out of JFK, I was told to use the First/Business security line, which surprised me slightly. I'm flying PE out of LAX next month: can I use the First/Business line there as well, or is this simply a JFK-quirk?

I flew UC out of LAX in Jan, I dont remember there being a First/Businesss line there then.

There very well could have been, it is an airport I am not too familair with, I had plenty of time, so could very well have just joined the first queue I saw.

There was definetely a First/Business line in December; flew out of there a couple of times then. It's not completely obvious...from memory it's the opposite line to the one near the Virgin check-in.

You will be lucky if you are allowed to use the First/Business Class line at LAX if you are flying PE, normally they will check your ticket at the top of the escalator and if it is not First or Business direct you to the regular lines.

And in my experience it can matter not a jot anyway ... VS's LAX experience is cramped, crowded, hot and slow ... the terminal just isn't up to it (but then that speaks for a lot of LAX, ever entered via a remote stand at TB International?).

I travelled Lax TO LHR last month in PE (although upgraded at the gate to upper) and used the business line with no problems at all, although it was only slightly quicker than the regular queue, so give it a go

Yes.

LAX makes even LHR look good. What I don't understand is that unlike other airports, since 9/11 LAX appear to have done nothing to improve the situation.

If you like to wait in line for ever and a day for immigration, and then on your return to Blighty enjoy being treated like dirt by the TSA, then I can wholeheartedly recommend the Tom Bradley International terminal, where consistency in the worst possible way pervades.

Yes - never want to repeat that again[xx(]

Each time I'm travelled UC out of LA, I've always been directed to a separate security lane. However each time I've travelled PE out of LA and have always been directed to the normal security line.
