V-Flyer

Just had what looks like a pretty good special offer drop through the door from Flying Club in conjunction with HiltonHHonors.

First they are giving me a Gold VIP card (expiry 07/09) with the opportunity of earning 10,000 bonus miles (and 10,000 bonus HHH points) if you have 4 stays at a Hilton Family hotel by 30th September 2008.

This is a cumulative offer so you earn 1000 after the first, 2000 after the second and so on; when you have stayed 4 times this adds up to the 10000 miles and 10000 points.

Seems pretty good to me and you get the chance to merge your existing card as well so you dont lose out on the points you have already earned on that.

Anyone else seen this offer?

Not seen that one but did get a similar offer on Sheraton. Same type of accumulation, though requiring 5 stays to get 9,000 bonus miles.

Not even got my silver renewal pack yet. It's only two months late.

Wonder if we can use it with existing Diamond Cards then merge?

I too wondered about this. Some loss on pro rata bonus points (25% rather than 50%), and some small risk of not quite getting the same upgrades on rooms, but the former would be made up with the bonus Honors points.

I am a lowly Silver with VS and an even 'lowlier' (new word ?) rock bottom Blue with HH but do have a numberof stays upcoming with them. This would be a nice points booster.

I hope its a general offer that I havent recieved yet and not a targeted offer.

Any VS silvers recieved this yet ?

Have been offered a similar deal, only with Marriott

Enrol in Marriott Rewards and you'll be instantly upgraded to Gold Elite membership for 12 months. And from now until 31 August 2008 you'll earn triple Flying Club miles on every stay.

However the Hilton deal would suit me much better. Has anybody ever tried or had success in phoning the Flying Club and asking to be switched from one promo to another.

Would the silver flying club number be a good place to start ?
