Flew on VS to Dubai the other day and i have to say I enjoyed Premium Economy very much. I was very impressed. Service was good, seats were comfortable, food was quite nice. All in all a very good experience. Value for money, I'd say. Considering this was the first time I'd paid for a ticket after years of going on press trips with them, I was pleasantly surprised. Clubhouse was excellent as usual.
VS should promote PE a bit more as I do think it's a terrific product. Well done Virgin Atlantic.

Good to hear that - I share most of your views, however as a sometime PE flyer at the last minute (£1,900 to New York anyone) I think the value for money bit is open to debate. Buy in advance, or a sale fare, and spot on!

Coincidentally, I am writing this from Dubai having arrived this morning on VS400.
Unfortunately we were in Y for the first time in a while - we are lucky enough to go P/E a few times a year to MCO and I even manage to get to the pointy end with work trips occassionally (next Sat to BOM for instance, although I have to stretch the Company travel policy almost to breaking point to do it).
I would echo that PE is worth it. I am not the tallest person on Earth (I say 5'8', but my wife says 5'7 1/2') but my knees were up against the seat in front and I managed zero sleep.
So, if you can, get into P/E.
Also tying this back to another thread - there was no acknowledgement of my Gold Status (that I had tried so hard to get !) such as 'nice to have you back' etc. I won't loose sleep on that one though, but it is interesting to see how different people experience different things on board.
I will try to do my first Trip Report when I return.

I take it back! The breakfast in PE is nothing short of a misery for the profit VS make on these seats. LOL

I agree, East Coast Breakfasts in Y and PE are a joke. I always refuse them now, and ask for a couple of glasses of OJ and some fruit.

I aggree too. Saying that on those glights I'm usually in J anyway. Best brekkie I had in PE was the vegetarian dhosa (sp) wrap on a flight to BOM. Much better than the british option.
Sale fares up to about £700 for PE make itn a good product though.
