Oh, me too, and I don't even know yet if I'm traveling this month ... but now I want to a little bit more [;)]
Proof will be in the eating, but this looks at least like a much more balanced option. Ceviche, flounder and posset looks like a meal for the potato-and-stodge-adverse people, for a change.

I'm curious as to what my kids will be offered in August. My son (2) will eat anything, but my daughter (5) is the exact opposite.
Now I just need to google some of the deserts listed on the menu to see what on earth they are! [:D] I don't suppose there is custard involved in any of them is there? I can't tell you how much I crave custard whenever I return home.

As I am a plain food person I think I might be swapping my choice with my son or his friend who are traveling in Y for our trip to LA next month.

Just ask for a menu from PE, you will be served before PE so will have a choice of anything on that menu.
It will be served on the UC china.
I did this on my last UC flight and ended up with a double serving of.....darn don't remember, but I do remember being told that it looked better than what was offered in UC (Christmas menu).

Where the f**k is the 'gloop' option? I know it was like coloured water at time but my word. And 3 desserts, and not one appears to be Iceland ice cream.

Actually this maybe a good thing, VS can't do soups, so give up and move on to messing up something different.

Just a thought, but I have a feeling that we are doing 'dessert of the day' ex UK & USA. Not 100% certain of the menus at the minute, as I'm not flying until tomorrow and it's the joys of the sub-continent for me. USA next week, I'll let you know what I think of it when I've tried it next week when I go to JFK!

Yep it definately is a 'Dessert of the Day' between the UK and the US. It is a choice of one of those three desserts (find out on the day which one is onboard), ice cream or cheese and biscuits.

Hi from Provincetown, where a heatwave is apparently about to hit us!We had this menu ex LHR to BOS on Thurs, the poached flounder was excellent, also lots of positive noises about the veg lasagne. Great cheeses too...& yes the dessert is 'of the day'.
Nice thing on this flight was that the crew made a point of saying we could eat when we wanted, but to make our choices at outset so we'd get what we wanted. The six of us ended up eating some 3 hrs into the flight which was great given we'd already had breakfast & lunch earlier in the CH [:)] TR to follow....I think Steve's doing the outbound, I'll do the return next Sat.

That was the starters and main courses on the VS019 on Sunday but not the choice of desserts. It was dessert of the day plus something else I can't remember. Dessert of the day was a citrus, buttery cheesecake which was rather nice apart from the fact that it was a sponge base instead of biscuit. So none of those listed in this topic.
The baby gem lettuce looked brown, like the lettuce tends to be on most of the flights I've flown. Lettuce and peas seems like a stupid salad to me. Just my opinion. I chose not to have any starter.
