Cannot read PMs

As a Free member, I no longer have access to PMs, although I get pop ups telling me there are 3 waiting to be read.

How can this be disabled, or at least the people be told I will not be able to read them.

A fair point. Let me look into turning off those notifications.

The IM-style notifications are now turned off for free memberships. Thanks for pointing that one out.

On that note...is there a different way of doing the notification for regular members ?

I may be in the minority here but the popup thing makes my system hang up ?

Anyone else have the problem, if not then I am blaming MS for it [:p]

Sounds like I need to add a preference box for the IM style notifications.
