Hi all

I recently flew back from Orlando and thought that I would treat myself and upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy.

How in hindsight I wish I had never done this.

I suffer from a medical condition that if anything touches my legs it hurts like hell.

The upgraded seat they put me in was infact narrower than the Economy one that I had flown out in. The hostess suggested that she rolled up a blanket and forced it between the side of my leg and the arm of the seat!!!!!!!!!!

They refused to move me even back to Economy, so this resulted me in being in immense pain for the whole flight.

Has anyone else had this problem.

I have written to Customer care and all they say that the seat is 38 inches wide, when in realility this seat was not infact it was a bulk head seat, all I can wish I had done was to measure the widith.

Any suggestions in getting a response from Customer concerns.

Thanks

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but special assistance does exist more or less solely to assist passengers with special needs such as yourself. Did you not contact them pre-flight?

The e-mail address for CS is [email protected] so I would send something there, but don't expect a response for 21 days, and even then it'll probably just be an apology.

I noticed that you had already posted this in the Seat Allocation thread. As we do not allow identical posts in different threads/fora I have deleted it from that one since it is more appropriately placed in its own topic.

With regard to our experience, I'm sorry you had such a miserable time in PE which for most people is a very pleasant experience. However, unfortunately the bulkhead seats are narrower than the others as they have to accommodate the tray table in the arm rest. Perhaps you should contact Customer Services once more stating that it was a bulkhead and therefore narrower.

With regard to not allowing you back into Economy, if it was a very full flight it is entirely possible that your original seat had been re-allocated to someone else as it may have been oversold
