I see that VHOT a LHR config plane has been flying some of the LGW/MAN routes over the past week or so. Does anyone know why and if this is likely to be common over the whole summer. Do PE passengers get upgrades to UC since there are so many more UC seats on the planes? I assume the swaps aren't planned so the seats can't be sold in advance?

It will more than likely be due to either maintenance of the LGW/MAN a/c or due to a last minute tech problem causing a problem and G-VHOT sent across to help cover. This certainly isn't something that VS will be planning on a regular occurrence but does happen from time to time depending on the fleet needs.

As for what happens with regards to the pax/config, well that will depend on how full the flight was and then some Y will be moved to PE and some PE to UC if needed. This will be done depending on FC status, fare code etc but will just depend on each individual set of circumstances.

I am really hoping that an LHR config plane with v:port will operate LGW-ANU on the 20th September. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I flew into Gatwick from the Isle of Man on Wednesday last week and noticed a VS 744 in one of the hangars, hopefully getting a good deep clean as well.
