Sorry if this has been asked before but I cannot find a topic on this and this is my first post on this site.

I have booked a trip to Barbados next April with virgin Holidays and have taken the UC upgrade both ways.[:D] Normally fly PE out and UC back.

Can anyone please tell me:

(i) As I have upgraded through VH do I qualify for free Clubhouse access at Gatwick or do I have to pay?
(ii) Do we qualify for private transfers in Barbados? I know we do not get the chauffeur in the UK.[n]
(iii) Any other advice for flying UC?

Thank you all in advance for your advice.

Welcome to the site.

All UC passengers (except people who are op-upped at check in) can use all of the Clubhouse facilities free of charge. This includes pre-booking treatments.

I doubt you will get the private transfer in Barbados, unless you have arranged it through VH. CDC transfers are only included with the more expensive UC bucket.

There is a wealth of advice here for flying in UC - have a look through the trip reports and old threads.

Hello and welcome to V-flyer. I hope you enjoy your time with us.

1. As a UC passenger you are entitled to use the Clubhouse in LGW for free regardless of whether you upgrsded via VH or not.

2. I presume you mean private transfers as organised by VS? VH usually books UC passengers into Z class which does not entitle them to a chauffer driven car. You mention that you upgraded to UC. Was that with miles? If so you would be entitled to a CDC by using miles

3. Get to the Clubhouse early and enjoy every minute of it. Just relax and enjoy your UC experience. If you read some of the trip reports they will tell you what to expect and nearer the time someone will post what the current UC menu is at that time. the main thing is not to stress out trying to do the 'right thing' Just chill [:D]

The last time we went to TAB with VH ( in Upper) we had private transfers included in the price AT THE RESORT BOTH WAYS but it does not allow you CDC to LGW and back from your home in the UK.
The rest of the folks at the resort were on the usual minibus!

I would thing Barbados would have the same policy. MDVIPOND should be able to confirm as he is our Barbados Guru[:D]

It's been a while since I used VH but on our UC trip with them we were provided with private transfers from and to BGI airport as opposed to shuttles with other pax.

I'll second this. When Richard and I went to UVF on a VH package we also had a personal car to and from the resort hotel as we were in Upper class. This isnt the same as the CDC, its just a private transfer where as everybody else goes on the bus. Ask VH or your rep for confirmation but I would think you would get this as an Upper passenger.

Thanks,
Sarah
