We checked in on-line with ease in the UK, although the OLCI is more detailed than BA's, and expected to be able to do so for our return journey. However I was mistaken.

All three of us were on the same PNR and I logged in to do OLCI. For some reason it would only allow two out of the three of us to check in - the third passenger was requested to proceed to the airport. It did not seem to matter which way I did it, it would only two out of three to check in. Tempting as it was to check in Mr A and myself and leave Miss A and her UGGS to sweat it out til we arrived at the airport, I dedided not to give up. Eventually I logged in one by one and did OLCI one at a time. Worked perfectly.[:D]

What I dont understand is why it would not allow us to check in as a party of three but allowed me to check each one of us in individually.

BA used to have exactly the same problem, especially if any of you have the same initial.... it could be that as I know its only been recently that BA has resolved the issue.

Have you contacted VA helpline on this at all?

Looking at the VA FAQ's you should be able to do this easily... clearly not!

Thanks for the suggestion Baloobear but we all have different initials but the same surname. Up until last year all of our flights were with BA[V]and everytime without fail we managed to do OLCI with no problems at all apart from our last flight when they 'forgot' to open it at Miami!

I did not try the helpline as I was in stubborn b*tch mood and was not going to beaten! And after such a brilliant flight home it seems nit piccy to contact them now.
