Just checking on VS28 and see that today's flight departure is delayed from 17:50 to 00:30 . . . What's up with the flight?

There have been a number of problems/delays recently with the ex LGW a/c, including tech problems, scheduled maintenance etc all of which put a lot of strain on the heavily worked fleet (there is currently a LHR a/c helping out on the LGW/MAN routes). Any further problems just compound the issue and cause knock on delays and whilst there could be a specific reason like a major tech problem for this delay it is quite likely to be just an effect of various factors.

The MCO route does seem to suffer when the fleet are stretched unfortunately.

Anyone know which LHR a/c it is? And which routes it is likely to be found on?

Not sure which a/c but it was mentioned the other day that it was covering BGI and even an LAS flight. Guess it will be used where/when needed and probably on flights that aren't full as the LGW 744's have a higher capacity than the LHR ones.

ISTBC, But my dad who is at LHR/LGW alot, told me the plane with the massive lady which he normally see's at LHR has made an apperance at LGW. So I would assume from his vauge info, that VFAB is at LGW.

Well as you invited it... [:)]

I have it on impeccable authority that G-VFAB is currently sitting at JNB awaiting a return flight and that it is minus the large tail lady [;)]

Special request for the heathrow aircraft to operate VS33 LGW - ANU 20th Sep 2008 and VS32 UVF - LGW 3rd October 2008.

If anyone with this power is reading, and you make it happen I will be your best friend!

Reason for all the delays is that G-VGAL was out of action with a problem with her flaps! G-VFAB was brought down to LGW for 3 days and operated BGI, LAS and UVF, but is now back at LHR.
