We have just been allocated our seats by a gentleman in Virgins call centre. We are flying on flight VS027 in October of this year to Orlando and have been allocated seats 45 a&b and 46 a&b, he assured me they were rows of two seats and not 3. However, yes you guessed it, after looking at the VA website it states both rows are indeed 3 seats.............or am I missing something???

Thanks

Welcome to V-flyer.

If you look at the seat maps on this site you will see you are right - rows 45 and 46 do have 3 seats not 2 on 747s - a340s have tow seats but these are A & C not A & B.

ISTBC but I am pretty certain the 2's at the back of the 747's which are the only set of 2's on this type of a/c can now not be pre-allocated as these are being changed to become the new 'extra leg room seats' for which there is a charge and these will only be available to be allocated at the airport.

Unfortunately, it looks like there isn't much you can do, at least you are sat next to each other and if the flight is quiet then the 3rd seat may be empty.
