So what do you do if you have a flight with VS on one of the dates, at one of the affected airports? How do you stand, should you contact the airline now????

Ah!!!!!

I'm acutally flying from LHR on 29th - and yes, I know that airport isn't supposedly involved, but am thinking of wildcats strikes...so let's suppose action does spread - is there twilight at LHR too? Should I just keep checking for updated recorded announcements? Wouldn't twilight mean though that any bags checked wouldn't fly with you, as they'd still need to be on the flight? Would they therefore arrive sometiem later? Would flights still leave, but without bags?

Indulge me, I like to see a worry through [?]

According to BBC the proposed baggage strikes have been 'suspended'. There is still a walkout of security scanner staff at Stansted on bank holiday Monday.
