Message about my booking

I was looking at my booking, (and was going to input the API, honest) and this message appears:

We're sorry, we cannot retrieve your booking due to a change in the scheduled flight times. Please confirm this change with your travel agent or tour operator. Once confirmed please return to this website and try again.

But according to Expedia there are no schedule changes, and on the Virgin website they are still selling seats on my flight.

Is this a good thing?

We had this twice for one of our flight last time. First time it was a change to the time by 5 mins, and the second a slight change in the aircraft. We had booked with VH, so annoyingly I had to phone them, then once they knew I had the info, I could get the flight info up again. Don't worry, just phone them.

Sorry they haven't changed the class then... ;) Nothing has changed. Same departure times, same aircraft....

Virgin have deallocated one of the seats on one of the flights - the one from Boston. I tried to rebook two seats together, and unless we sit in the middle or across an aisle we can't do that.

Strange that they would do this, when they know we are flying together, the seats allocated are standard, and it's been allocated since April. And one passenger is a nervous flyer, the other becoming one. ;)

That is very annoying. See if more seats come available at online check in. Otherwise get to the checkin desk early and explain your situation.

yep, best bet is get to check-in early or use OLCI as there should be more seats released then.

As has come up in many other threads, seat allocations is a request, nothing more and operational needs may mean that your seat is re-allocated. Usually it's because a family has to be seated together.

Yeah, I know that these things happen. And I know it's like in my job where people want exact room numbers guaranteed and of course we can't. I was happy with getting window + aisle as it's just the two, I've never actually flown in the middle section...

Another question. Sorry!

VS have changed my seats now going out and back. Now I don't know if this is because of the conversation they had with Passenger 2 about being a nervous flyer. We're in row 58 out (was 40) and 56 back... so when it comes to check-in, and there's the opportunity to change the seats should I?

Maybe VS have put a note in the booking and this is the best seats for nervous flyers (or something.)
