Hi, I'm new to all of this, so I hope I'm asking this question in the right section.

I'm flying in late Novemeber on VS077 to Barbados and was wondering if anyone can tell me what cable I need to use the in-seat power supply? Thanks

If you are flying UC then you will have in seat power. There will be cables on board but when I asked the same question recently (not through the forum) I was told that it is an Empower Adaptor.

As Neil has said, the power socket on the UC seats is indeed an Empower adapter. On the LGW/MAN fleet of aircraft (which you will be on to Barbados) only the Upper Class cabin offers laptop power sockets.

Virgin offer laptop power adapters to UC passengers for quite a wide range of laptops - see their website for details. However, they do limit the in-seat power to 70 watts. My laptop has a 90 watt power supply for running off the mains - I have a 120 watt Kensington power supply I can run the laptop on from the Empower port - as long as I dim the screen brightness and do not expect the battery to charge.

Virgin do not have cables for any of the Macbook or Macbook Air laptops so if you have one, you would need to have your own cable from the Apple Store
