Start delayed by 11 weeks to Feb 28th 2009

I'm guessing the champagne will be out at QF what with the impending A380 service commencement

Sad thing is that its out of DJ's control. Surely DJ will be getting some form of compensation from Boeing for this.

I doubt it, strikes are normally covered as a no fault clause in the contract.

True although given the magnitude of the impact on DJ (this is the delay of starting a brand new carrier) and the fact that the strike has been brewing for a while, I would have wanted my lawyers to push for something to go in.

I can't argue with you on that, as it is it looks like there will be a fair number of discounted 77? due to the 787 late delivery, so whats a couple more ?
