Quick question for those in the know.....

Does anyone know if you can deduce the likely aircraft type for an upcoming flight from the seat map shown when using the Manage My Booking function on the Virgin website?

I understand that the best resource for identifying the aircraft type is the 'which aircraft' link here, and that there's always the chance that a different aircraft will be assigned on the day, but when looking at the details for an upcoming flight it shows the seat plan for a very infrequently used aircraft type (approx 1%)!

Have tried to search the forum to see if this had been asked before, but a combination of my own incompetence and a bizarre technical error from the forum have defeated me!

Hi and Welcome aboard V-Fyler [y]

When you look at the seat map on the VS site is to look at the layout of seats and compare to what's here. The other thing it to look for the upstairs section. See that and you know it's a 747-400.

Welcome to V-Flyer Timbrewolf [:)]

Where are you flying to and what date are you going?

The VS seat maps in your booking are usually pretty accurate unless an A/C change is needed before your departure date. You would notice a change though.

Regards
