Why was VS027 cancelled 12-Oct 08?

Anyone have any idea why VS27 was cancelled today and is now due to leave 9.00am tomorrow

A fault with the landing gear was detected on the ground at gatwick on Sunday. All passengers from this flight left this morning at 9 am on VS127

I'd like to know too, it can't be for economy reasons i.e merging flights because both VS27 and VS15 are both scheduled to depart today too. Yesterday's VS27 is departing as VS127. Virgin of late is getting worse with these delays. I had a 5 hour delay going out and 3 hour delay returning recently on VS15 & 16. are a lot
