Hi - My wife and I are heading down under with the little one (six months old). Could anyone tell me if VA offer cots for babies to sleep in or will be holding her for the entire trip?

Also will they let me have a VA Kids pack to play with [8D] (seen all the films)

Thanks

Yes cots are available, you will need to speak to Virgin before your flight though as there are only so many cot positions on the a/c.

flew with our 10 wk old to SA - the fold down bassinets work fine. you get the equivalent of a cardboard box for them to sleep in. Actually works fine.
The only downside is during any 'ding' for seat belts you've got to get them out and hold with a lap belt (9 times out of 10) this is just after they've got to sleep!

Changing tables in the loos are a bit cramped (you'll keep banging your head), but again quite workable.

Best bit is watching the silent thoughts (or rude tutting) of those sat behind you when you arrive to settle into your seat, was even more entertaining for us, as same couple were there for the return leg (if they didn't like it they should of learnt instead of grumbling when ours cried for 10 mins in full 12hrs)- to be fair the little ones tend to sleep with occasional bursts for either food/ toilet etc. I've sat near worse adults....

Crew are fantastic and are always around for help and checking things are ok.
suggest take either disposal bottles, our some spare, remember any milk/ liquids these needed opening when we flew which was frustrating - although this may of relaxed now.

We were very apprehensive, but found the younger the better/easier. Now three, and much more of a challenge. enjoy it
(annoyingly, ours has gained enough virtual tier points though bum on seat to get a virtual Ag card)- shame some form of incentive for the mini-VA fliers doesn't exist - we still pay a high proportion of the seat cost..!!
