V-Flyer

Hey,

I booked a flight with VA for me and my fiance to New York, as a suprise for her 21st birthday. At the time i selected out seats using the online seat map.

However, i went to look at the booking a few days ago and it said 'I am sorry, the seating map is not aviable at this time. Your seats will be assigned at check in'

Does this mean that the seat map is suffering technical problems, and will eventually come back online. Or have VA purposly turned this off, possible due to aircraft rotation or unable to fore-see aircraft type? And that the only way to choose seats will be at the airport on the day? I know that seating is a request only, and not a definate.

The seat map is closed because the quota of 60% of seats available for pre-allocation has been reached. There is every likelihood, however that your seat request is still OK. If you go into the Manage my Booking page on the VS website and click on the arrow by your name it should show the seat number you requested.

Yeh that makes sense! i booked back in june, and that when i did choose my seats it was very empty seating plan. Yeh, when i bring up passenger details it does say the seat numbers next to our numbers! I really cant wait! i think it will be my 3rd time flying with VA!
