Speedy arrival though LHR

I think this is the fastest I've ever got though LHR when arriving off a VS flight.

From touching down to been in Revivals was 30mins [:D]

The flight was about 50% full and we departed ORD on time, landing 20 mins early at 08:30. By the time I'd gone though IRIS and was the first to get to the baggage belts, my bag was already coming off and it was one of the first off too [y]

I was flying in Y and I even got to the belts before any of the J pax so it just goes to show how much quicker IRIS makes your arrival into LHR.

Everything seems in fast mode today as having just checked my FC account at 10:00, the miles/TP's are already there as well!!!

Just got 4 hours to wait now waiting for my BMI flight upto MAN.

You know, it's pretty common fare to damn Heathrow. It certainly has it's horrors and it's not the best in the world, but it's a long way off being the worst and when it works, it can work well.

I had a similar speedy exit on Sunday. I was in PE but it was probably 10-12 minutes from aircraft door to Revivals, and most of that was spent trying to navigate through the masses on the other side to get to the lifts for Revivals. As Slinky says, when it works, LHR isnt a bad place.

Thanks,
Sarah

T1 check-in is now actually quite a plesent experience. Most of those annoying central check-in desk clusters have now gone giving much more space. There's clearly fewer pax going though T1 now that BA has moved to T5 as well [y]

Arrived at BMI priority check-in at 10:30 asking if it was too early to check-in for my 15:15 MAN flight. The agent then said I could move to the earlier 11:35 MAN flight if I wanted too so I said yes [y]

Security at LHR T1 is now much quicker even though domestic and international pax all go though the same area. Domestic pax have to go though a second photo check point but other than that I was though and in the BMI domestic lounge in under 10 mins.

My bag was also second off at MAN with only a 30 second wait [y]

All in all, just got back home about 4 hours ahead of schedule.
