We're travelling on the VS238 to Hong Kong on Thursday, returning on the VS239 next Wednesday.

I'm a rather nervous traveller (to put it mildly!) so I wondered if any of the crew that read this site would be in the PE cabin on those flights and could please keep checking on me!

I'm usually reasonably happy to fly but I think it's the length of the flight that's worrying me this time. Not quite sure why I agreed to go, but am really looking forward to being there. We have even upgraded for the first time so I am hoping that the excitement of PE will stop me worrying so much.

It was reading so much on this site that made us upgrade so keep up the good work! [^] [y]

Many thanks,

Karen

Heya Karen,

I would have happily transfered onto your flight, but it is a very tough flight to get on. Crew tend to like their trips to Hong Kong. So no chance of me getting on it. However, if you call Virgin ahead of time and let them know that you are a nervous flyer, they will know when you board the plane. I am sure the crew will look after you. Do not worry about the flight! Everything will be fine! You should be looking forward to the PE product :)

Thank you soooo much! That's why I only fly longhaul with Virgin, and in fact all of our holidays since 2003 have been planned around Virgin routes!

I know we'll be really comfortable in PE and have had seats reserved since we booked but am getting nervous now about losing them if I can't OLCI on Wednesday. Fingers crossed it will be resolved by then.

Thanks again!

Karen

Hi Karen! Hope you have a good flight.

Virgin are excellent with nervous flyers - they have a special customer services type service where they can update your booking, they also asked my other half to call them so that they could talk through what happens on a flight.

Also, when I flew, the other half was nervous especially with getting on the plane first, and then waiting... waiting ... waiting... so we asked to be boarded last and Virgin were fine with that. That can defuse some of the nervousness, because sitting on a plane while everyone fusses about getting comfortable can make it seem like forever.

Hi Karen

I can vouch the VS are excellent with nervous flyers when pre-warned.

My friend's daughter was particularly nervous about travelling to MCO in the summer (so much so she had been on the VS course) and the crew did a marvellous job in looking after her.

You have a good flight.

As a previous very nervous flyer, remember you're in good hands. You'll enjoy the added frills of PE, a calmer cabin & importantly more comfortable.. (just think of the miles your earning!)
The more you do , the better you'll be and you'll soon be longing for your next trip.

lets see a trip report after your flight, as we'll want to know how you got on..

A couple of swift pre flight drinks have been know to be taken by many on here...I'm sure its just a rumour....

Karen, I can't think of an airline that I would prefer fly with, Virgin are superb [y]

I have total faith in the maintenance of their fleet & don't forget they operate one of the youngest fleets in the air today. Their security procedures are top notch also.

No matter what far flung part of the world I find myself in, it is with a sense of pride I walk up to the Virgin check in desks, assured that one of ÒThe best in the BusinessÓ will be flying me today [y]

So my advice is to settle into your Premium Economy seat once on board, sit back, sip your pre-flight champagne & look forward to your trip.

Happy Trails [y]
