Apologies if this is in the wrong place.
I would like to take my beloved Applemac on board with me, I have bought one of those special leads for it.
Are there any rules or regs I need to abide by and is it ok to take a macbook onboard.
Thanks in advance.

I regularly take my Mac onboard, no issues at all and if you have your own power lead then all you need to do it wait (or sometimes ask the crew) for the inflight power to be switched on.
Crew were asking that batteries be removed from some Macs, though I think that has now ceased (and I wasnt ever asked to remove my battery). Our contributing crew should be able to give you the latest on that issue.
Thanks,
Sarah

Never took my battery out in September. Plus you can make a profit by renting out your mag-safe lead to anyone who hasn't got one. They're not included in the PED cable box.

An equally profitable idea would be to rent it out by the hour as a DVD player when V:Port goes down.

Yep you can use all laptops onboard with no problems. The batteries no longer need to be removed when connected to the power supply.

My MacBook Pro always travels with me, as does a decent supply of DVDs, just in case. On our Oz trip last year I also took along a couple of games (Splinter Cell, Medal of Honour) which helped while the time once my mind was numb from watching films.
