Hi There
I'm taking my girlfriend to New York for a romantic surprise new year holiday!
I've persuaded myself to dig deep and splash out on UC tickets for a treat. This is will be my first time in Virgin UC and I'm very much looking forward to it.
Can any of you Guru's offer some Tips (a top 5 perhaps) to ensure that we get the most out of our UC experience (and s).
Also - I realise the UC cabins are designed for privacy, but out of your experiences, what's the more sociable seating layout... across the aisle from each other, or one in front of the other?
Many thanks in advance for your help - what a great site!

1. Book a treatment now, if you haven't already. If a late flight (VS9), make use of the showers.
2. Follow the 'second mojito' rule for boarding. On first call, get another drink, on second call, you should be half way through it. Head to the gate at the final call
3. Eat, drink and make the most of it.
4. Don't forget the JFK Clubhouse.
5. ENJOY

Enjoy the experience, don't go with lots of expectations of what the crew should say/do at a certain time etc, enjoy it for what is and what you receive, which will hopefully be 5 star service.

Wow - thanks for your quick responses folks!
Any thoughts on seating? Is best to select seats one in front of the other or across the isle?
Cheers

I would say 1 behind each other, it will be easier to talk to your partner without shouting. As for a guide on which seats, have a look at the seat ratings page!

Don't be afraid of hitting the call button if you need or want something. Fancy a snack with your movie? Want to taste the full wine list? ASK.

Get to the Clubhouse early to maximise your time there. Once on board enjoy the experience and let it flow over you both. The best seating is one in front of the other and remember you can sit together to eat with one of you sitting on the ottoman

Enjoy the amenity kit, the newly washed sleep suit, your first choice on the Freedom menu, the well-staffed bar and the in-flight beau....ooops...never-mind that last one.
'Have fun' is the best advice of all!

I would suggest you take a B747 flight as you can choose to take the centre seats which connect together and can have their partition lowered. Good for watching movies.

. As the other guys said, have a look at the seat ratings to make sure you get the best seats in the house.

And on the way back.... SLEEP! It seems weird paying so much for a flight when you'll be unconscious, but, believe me, being able to sleep horizontally is a wonderful experience!
