Hello,

I've noticed that the New Year sale doesn't include Upper Class fare's to the US. I get married in the summer and am holding out for a UC sale for our honeymoon to LA.

When traditionally do Virgin have UC sales? Like the big UC sale last May? I heard on the news that cheaper air fare should be expected in 2009 for many obvious reasons....

What have the UC sales pattens been like over the past few years?

Thanks all,

Steve

Not too sure myself, but there are several folks around these parts are also waiting for the sale. Fingers crossed all round!

I noticed this morning that UC prices have been added to the sale fares to Dubai and India - maybe a taste of things to come? [;)][}:)]

Let's hope it's a very small taste of much bigger and better things to come Nick.

Sales have included the LHR-LAX route in previous years, I know because I have taken advantage of VS generosity on more than one occasion. I guess you just have to wait and see and keep checking or you may miss it - if LA gets added that is.

Just booked 2 x upper class return flights LHR - LAX in the new sale. Hazzah!

As I booked the tickets online is it worth calling to add we are a honeymoon couple? Can the Upper Class experience get any better?

Thanks for all the advice eveyone. I'm pretty pleased I waited and saved about £700 a ticket.

Steve (very excited)

Well done on playing the game and winning! (With the flights that is!)

It would not do any harm to let the airline know it's your honeymoon (Congratulations!!) but generally, hotels do more with this kind of information.

The funny thing is, I got an email from VS announcing the sale, the prices they quoted are the same I have been seeing for the past couple of years, am I missing something ?

Yeah not a particularly fantastic 'sale' for us is it?!

I'll be making 2 trips over to the UK, one probably mid April and one end of May, so what I'm thinking of doing is booking an UC flight originating in UK at the 1099 quid price (which with exchange rates today is about what I paid for PE seats at Christmas!), to bring me back to the US after April trip, and then back to UK for May trip. And then book PE originating in US to get me over to UK in April and then back to US in June after the May trip. If that makes sense?!?! Unless anyone thinks we might actually be getting a comparable 'sale' here in the US??

Can you book and originating UK flight with a US address ???

For some reason I get the feeling that I looked at doing this but found out I couldn't, then again I may off being trying to do something else that kind of broke a few rules and was told no [:I]
