New Years Eve

Am I being a bit special here - I have checked prices for three night breaks in New York, leaving on 31 December 2009, and am getting really cheap prices. (Around 585 inc. flights and three nights Centrally located hotel with Virgin Holidays)

I always thought that NYE would be expensive...!

Me too. Give them a call and try booking on phone. Keep a browser session open so if they come up with a much higher price, you can beek before the web updates.

If that is what the site says (and I get the same after a quick check) then it is obviously correct. I imagine of lot of it will be to do with the fact that the days after NYE are quite cheap. It works out about £190 per night for the hotels which isn't too bad for NYC but still fairly expensive compared to a lot of places, you might be able to do it DIY style cheaper.
