Hi I'm flying on Weds to SFO from LHR. I'm a silver member and I'm flying in Upper Class. I have a friend traveling with me who is in PE and I'm wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to take them into the clubhouse as a guest? The FAQ seems to say you can but I've read another post which says different!

Thanks....

Hi and welcome to V-Flyer.

As you are flying in UC, then you are allowed to take one guest in to the CH with you as long as they are flying VS on the same day.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys! The VS Website is very vague on it and I thought for a minute I had to be gold!

How flexible are VS on check-in policy, i.e. a Silver member in UC, but with a guest who is in PE/Y on the same flight? Clearly the guest will be allowed in the Clubhouse / shared lounge, but can they use the UC check-in too?

Thanks

I have had a similar situation with my brother last year (except I was in PE and he was in Y) - we were travelling on the same flight, but had booked separately. He is FC red and we checked in together at the UC check in using my gold card and it wasn't an issue in the slightest.

Yes, as long as they are checking in with you, all should be fine. I've done this many times with colleagues, in the UK and other countries.

Whats the situation on using the security channel if one pax is UC and the other PE, is the PE pax able to use the channel ?

Thanks

No problem there either, provided you both check in at the same time.

For small numbers ... if you abuse it with a crowd I think you might get a different response!
