Just wondering - all the sale fares go up by 2 on 1st April - intrigued as to why they're bothering?

I have been wondering about this too. It's not part of the fare, it is the taxes that increase and it seems to be to all destinations. Presume BAA might be increasing airport charges? Insurance?

Could be BAA charges, or just a symbolic gesture. Maybe they want to avoid setting a precedent of fares in June being the same as fares in the dead of January. And even though they are almost the same, the difference maintains this concept.
EDIT: Actually, that's crap. I think it must be airport charges changing. Or maybe BA are adding an extra £2... [;)]
EDIT 2: Fare results
31 March: GBP 49.00 - Total fare for all GBP 209.70 - Taxes, fees, charges & surcharges
01 April: GBP 49.00 - Total fare for all GBP 211.20 - Taxes, fees, charges & surcharges
