I do carbon offset!
But I choose a more efficient method than most.
A 747 transatlantic produces some 250-300 tonnes CO2 - say 1 tonne per pax.
Radiative forcing requires this to be multiplied by 2.
So 4 tonnes per return trip.
Coolearth working with
Fauna & Flora International, highly respected organisations, will 'sell' you the equivalent of 260 tonnes CO2 offset for £100. And you will do something really positive in saving rainforests at the same time!
About £1.50 or $2 for a transatlantic trip!
Anything over that could be profiteering from climate change guilt.
