Change of Aircraft on Miami route?

Anyone know why there is a change of aircraft on the Miami route? I was on 346 now 747 (VS005 13/05/09[:?]

Could be various reasons, load numbers are on either this flight or any other flight that means a change in a/c (config) works better or an 346 could be due for maintenance etc so one less available for ops. I would have thought these are probably the most likely explanations but it really could be anything.

Virgin have changed the VS005 operations to a B747 for most of the summer. I think during July and august its a 346 tue/wed/thu and a 744 on fri/sat/sun/mon but ISTBC.

Maybe virgin think MIA can make more money than other routes on the 747.

The 747 will operate VS45, VS5, VS19, VS11 during the summer timetable and during the busy school holidays the VS1 and VS7

Am flying MIA-LHR on the 02/10/09 and the online seat map shows a 747 config.

I wish they'd change my routes to a 747! i'm never that lucky!
