would you continue to travel on VS UC or would you use a different airline or your own private jet?

VS UC:
very useful private security channel.
amazing clubhouse.

BA
new T5 lounge with spa.

Singapore Airlines:
awesome new suite on the A380 but no private security channel.

Private jet:
very exclusive but no lounge or spa.
possibly no queues at immagration and security if you land at a private airport.

It would really depend on where I was going and what aircraft's being operated.
Singapore for example, would easily be Singapore Airlines, whislt New York, San Francisco for example would be Virgin Atlantic. Places like Chicago where the A340s operate would probably be with BA however.

Kev.

If I were super rich I'd probably have my own plane and fly it myself, but, I think I'd choose SQ for the vast majority of my trips. [y]

Thanks,
Sarah

If I had lots of money I might start my own airline with the service and private secuirty channel of VS, the lounge of BA T5 and the suite of the SQ A380.

Have thought about this before (hmmm, day dreaming [:p]).

Where VS fly, would definitely continue to use VS.

Where VS don't fly then the best of what's available, SQ yes, also EK or QA with a couple of exceptions like SQ to Australia or perhaps Cathay to Hong Kong (first of course). I'd discount any US airline from this list and charter a jet within the US. South America would have to be BA but that's the only place I can see BA in the picture.

But for one thing, the no. 1 and I are planning on buying a house in Palm Springs, if I were super rich I'd charter a jet between here and there just to keep the dogs on board. I would never ever put them in the hold of a commercial airliner!

Ive often thought that winning the lottery would give me the freedom to book whatever I wanted without a second thought.

I would certainly fly VS on the majority of my trips, provided the schedule suited. For an Australia trip I more than likely would choose SQ, but with my new found financial freedom I would just fabricate whatever itinerary I wanted with no consideration for fare.

Say SQ LHR-SIN-SYD, with CX SYD-HKG-LHR on the way home, both booked as one ways, as the fare wouldnt matter a jot. So no need to stick to the one airline or alliance. Nor would I be particularly concerned about always booking far in advance & scheduling around restricted Z fares, or sales. Id just book whenever I wanted & the fare would be the fare.

I would of course always fly in the top cabin of whatever airline I choose.

Ahhhhh dreams [8D]

When you are rich I think you would not care about the price but more about the quality of service, seats etc. And after flying on loads of airlines I might have a favourite. Also I would want to stick to one airline or alliance so I can get the top frequent flyer level [:D]

I've always harboured the dream - particularly when driving round the M25 - of being able, on the spur of the moment, to decide to pitch up at the airport and just buy a ticket to go somewhere...

Just because you are rich does not mean that you are not thrifty with your money. Certianly I think I would be just as cautious with money if I was mega rich. After all when does not know when it could all end.

But it would be private jet all the way for me. Of course I would shop around for the best deals, no point in paying over the odds.

A friend of my Mothers flies by private jet from the UK to USA (due to husbands job) and she says it beats first class hands down. No security lines, no waiting around, just drive up to the plane and get on, within reason they can fly to your closest airport, even customs are a lot more lax on you allowing you to be rather blatant with all your shopping bags.
