Crew Question: VS049 LGW-MCO

I was just wondering what the trip pattern looks like for the VS049 this summer. I know the crew usually just stay 1 night in Orlando but what happens with the VS049, it only goes once a week and I cant see VS letting the crew stay in MCO for 7 days! Although im sure some would love it!

Anybody out there in the know?

I would imagine the crew fly home as passengers on one of the following day's flights.

Either dead head as Kraken suggests.

Or they may fly back as crew on either the MCO-GLA flight or MCO-MAN, if there is more than 1 a day this summer but less than 2 a day. I am not sure of the schedules but if there is overlap that could be a possibility.

CC.com is pretty good read for finding out when crew have DH(dead head) or take an internal flight to crew another plane back to the UK.

If you operate the VS49, you have one night in Orlando and then you passenger back to Gatwick the following day.

For the crew who operate the VS50 they will passenger out the day before, spend one night in Orlando and then operate the following day.

Thanks guys, I thought that would be the case. Taking crew over to Orlando as pax must take up at least 18 seats! Loss of revenue i think especially in the school holidays! But I suppose it would be cheaper than keeping them out there for a week! Shame :( Would be nice for crew to get one week long trip as all the Caribbeans are now 1 night!

Well its usually 1 night aint it? Only when the VS35 operates and goes onto Antigua that its 2 nights isnt it?

BGI trips vary in length from 1-2 nights and can often involve having to position to another island ie. GND, MBJ. (This would be 1 night BGI, 1 night GND/MBJ and home). There is a 3 night UVF trip too.

To be honest, Caribbean trip patterns change constantly and it is very difficult to keep track of them.

So, on thses flights back to the UK with the 49 crew, less chance of an upgrade or an empty to Upper Class then! [:D][:D][:D]
