hi flyers,

does anyone know if my dell inspirion 1525 will work in upper class.

have checked the laptop list on upperclass section on va web but can't see it listed. is that because that is an old list and this is an 8 month old dell ?

if anyone knows that would be great. Tried to find out via va but they didnt know the answer, tho they said i'd find out once onboard -if it wont work i wont get a 'tip?' - think that means an adaptor/plug for power.

anyone got one of these lap tops who's taken it u/c and it worked please let me know.

if anyone's going soon - can i be cheeky and ask you to ask. dont want to carry something that wont work, may as well check it for use once in USA - if that makes sense.

I can't answer your question specifically, but can give you our personal experience. We took our 3month old, new model Sony laptop with us and as expected it wasn't (and still isn't) on the adaptor list. The crew were very good and gave us all the different Sony adaptors they had and as expected one worked without problem.

I think you will probably find that one of the existing ones will work, however this is not something you will be able to know for certain until you are onboard. Only you can decide if you want to take the risk of carrying your laptop for it maybe not to work.

What type of connector does the power brick have? Most Dell's have the same round one so I would imagine that they'd carry a lead onboard if that is what you have.

If you travel a fair bit the easiest thing to do is buy your own onboard power adapter. You'll probably find a reasonably priced one over at Targus.

We have the FW21M. If I remember correctly, it was adapter number 12 that worked, it was the one that powers the FZ series according to the onboard list I believe.
