Is the Antigua flight via Barbados

There has been some discussion on the Tripadvisor Antigua Forum regarding whether the new schedule sends some or all Antigua flights via Barbados. Call to VA seem to suggest lots of different answers!
Can anyone help.

some do, some don't, depends on loads and peak times etc. Check on your flight number on your booking and then check with the flight number schedule to see if it is via BGI or not.

for our BGI - LGW return flights in May outbound is the usual BGI to LGW only but the return is LGW - BGI - ANU.

Im not sure if it will be changing but at the moment the Antigua flight goes on a Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and the friday flight goes via Barbados in both directions. I think this is also the schedule for this coming summer but it could change in the winter.

Our schedule shows the friday Antigua going via Barbados for the forseeable future.

Book on a saturday, and it will always be direct. Fridays often will be via BGI, wednesdays usually aren't but VS seem to be scheduling wednesdays via BGI as well for the next few months (on and off), the wednesday change comes into affect some time next month I think (just browsing the schedules on the VS site).

We flew recently to BGI on Friday and the flight went on to ANU afterwards, so seems to follow what the others are saying. Our return flight originated from UVF and stopped to pick up PAX in BGI(that was a Tuesday flight)
