what time do seats get released?

Hello!

Is there an answer to this question?!

Basically, as I mentioned in a previous post I am waiting to pounce on some G rewards for late March next year to the Caribbean. Do you know, is there a time of day that the next date next year comes into range? For example - at the moment you can book up to the 17th March 2010 - will the 18th March 2010 be loaded for booking at midnight GMT tonight?

Hope that makes sense!

For a round ticket, the earliest you should be able to book is 329 days, 23 hours, 59 minute.

Can't remember if it's VS or another UK based airline but as they use a US server the flights get released at 5am which is midnight EST.

I've found they seem to release a smaller number automatically (1 or 2 ?) and then several more are released during the following day on the routes where they have more G availabiluty like SFO/LAX/Shanghai etc..

That would make sense. There are quite a few dates with just one G available which didn't seem to make much sense...

I suppose the logic of releasing 1 G seat could be that it would encourage couples to book one rev seat and one reward seat, thereby increasing the money VS make?

This would particularly apply to couples who want to fly together on a particular route within a limited time frame, and aren't willing to gamble on extra G seats being released at a later date.
