Booking UC

We are planning UC April 2010 (after Easter!) on VS075 MAN - MCO.
I know flights can't be booked more than 11 months in advance of the return date - but any advice on when to book?
Is it best to get in early and get a seat in UC or wait for deals?
I've got 30000 am so I was also thinking of a miles plus money.
Any experiences/thoughts

Welcome to V-Flyer, Steve.
This is always the $1000 question - when to book?
The obvious answer is - when there is a sale on.
The problem is that most sales only include a couple or a few months in advance, and don't always include the MCO flights.
The second problem is that the MCO planes only have 14 suites in UC and are very popular, so M+M seats may be an issue. I have never booked a M+M seat, but from postings on here, they aren't always released at the 336 day mark, as revenue seats are.
You might also want to check the maths about miles plus money seats (as well as the availability) - as they are not always the best deal - especially around school holidays.
Sorry if this sounds a bit vague, but there is no magic formula and no cast iron best time to to book. There are a lot of variables.
The bast thing is to wait for a price you are happy with, book it, and don't look back.

Thanks - it confirms what I was thinking.
I'll think I'll book when they are up (although I may ring FC and see if can work a deal).
Good advice about not looking back.

Just to echo what Nick has said about using some miles. We went Easter 2008 to MCO and I was looking from the day the first seats were released and checked every day, and not once was any type of reward seat, in any class available over an 8 week period from before, during and after Easter. Even when we went in Feb this year, we could only find some rewards for our outbound, with nothing in bound in Feb/March or April.

Cheers - I'll book it when available and put it to bed.
I might save by waiting for deals, but I don't think my nerves would stand it.

If you are 100% committed to the MAM-MCO route, then this is of no use to you, but my preferred route to the Sunshine State is LHR to Miami.
Lots of V-Flyers disagree, but the advantages of the Clubhouse and Revivals do it for me.
See
this thread, for some pretty strong views on both sides of the debate. [:D]
