Here on v-flyer there is loads of information about cabin crew and their roles, benefits, trip patterns ect. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about life as a pilot at Virgin.

Any ideas about

Trip Patterns (im guessing the same as cabin crew)
Hours? Is the 900 hour rule per year applicable to pilots
Do pilots get v-swap?
Do pilots too get 1 month of standby or is it done differently for pilots and crew.
Are pilots based in LGW, LHR AND MAN or are they based at one or the other?

Any help much appreciated.

This is essentially a passengers site, with a lot of welcome input from crew.

If you want to know about pilots, I would suggest pprune or a.net would be better options.

My uncle is a VS 744 pilot and yes I think he does follow the cabin crew's trip patterns and he is based at LGW, LHR and MAN. Sorry don't know about the other questions.
