Hi all,

I'm traveling LHR - JFK in ECON on a reward fare, and just wondered if anyone knew how many miles it would be to upgrade to PE? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the VS website!

Any ideas greatly appriciated!

Cheers,

Oli

Try the following navigation on the VS Web site: Flying Club - Spend Miles - Upgrade Yourself (scroll down) and you'll see that it is 20k miles for a one way upgrade from Y to PE. Or simply go here.

Note, however, that not all economy fares are upgradeable and since the actual classes are completely beyond me I'll let a brighter V-Flyer clarify that [:I].

I am assuming that you are on a miles seat in economy? The upgrade of 20,000 miles is if you have booked a qualifying paid for economy ticket (i.e. Y,B or L class) and this is for a return upgrade. If you want to upgrade a miles purchased ticket, then you will need to pay the difference in miles between your economy miles fare and a premium miles fare. This could be a lot more, especially if you have purchased your economy miles ticket in a miles sale (e.g. 25,000miles for the return).......does that make sense (and have I got it right?)

Did the Y to PE one way Upgrade not usually cost 10K ? I guess it depends on what the base Mileage you paid for the Y ticket. With some Reward flights now starting from 25K, I can see this upgrade cost being different.

With a 45/50K Y Miles ticket, it used to be 10K to PE and 30K to Upper.
