Will Virgin fly to Cape Town next Jun/Jul?

I know Virgin does not normally run flights to Cape Town during our summer months, but does anyone know if Virgin will be running flights to Cape Town in June / July next year? Small event of the World Cup taking place then and I've got tickets for the World Cup semi-final in Cape Town and would (obviously) prefer to get down there on Virgin.

Thanks,
Darren

The only direct flights that are currently loaded on the VS web site for June/July to CPT are SAA codeshare flights.

If you want VS metal then you will have to fly via JNB.

Virgin Atlantic only fly to Cape Town during their summer (october-April) I think, so if you want to fly to Cape Town during our summer its a SAA code share flight or BA. But also Virgin via Johannesburg with a SAA conection.

Yep - realise there's the code share, but was really wondering whether Virgin would look to lay on extra planes for major events such as the World Cup. There will be a lot of demand for UK passengers to get to SA, so would think it would be quite profitable for them.

I suppose there may be the odd charter with sports tour operators.
