This is my first post and I must say I am impressed with site - its a great resource.

My query to a guru is as follows:
I purchased 3 rtn tickets to Florida (Orlando Out/ Miami In) using the milesplusmoney feature. The e-ticket has stated it is a 'K' ticket and according to fare class code listing here states I will be able to earn miles on this fare. I rang VA customer service and they said I will not because they are discounted tickets.[:(].
Flying out next Tuesday on VS015 PE seats on top deck 74 A,C&H allocated. Returning on VS006 in row 20. Are these good seats?
Only a week to go now...:D

Hi,

MpM tickets do not qualify for miles or tier points - the T&C's state that.
Sorry for the confusion caused by my guide to fare classes, I will have all the applicable fares classes that MpM uses updated to state clearly that they will not qualify for mileage/tier points.

Take a look at http://www.v-flyer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2370 to give you an idea of what new reference feature is coming soon!

I need to redo the image as it currently has one mistake, the fare class Q should be in both of the Economy boxes in the middle of the diagram.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi neilh123 and welcome to V-Flyer :)

To add to Richard's post, this is from the VS Ts&Cs:

3.1.4 Miles and tier points will be issued only for flights actually flown by you and will be based on the class of ticket you have paid for and will not reflect any complimentary upgrades. Miles and tier points cannot be earned on any free or reduced rate tickets including, without limitation, reward travel and travel agent or industry discounts, Mates and Mates Plus, Vex Courier, MilesPlusMoney, child or infant and complimentary tickets. Miles and tier points have no cash value and are not exchangeable under any circumstances for cash.

According to the Seat Ratings feature, 74A is "good" on the LGW 747-400 (no ratings for 74C & H). If you're in PE on VS006, then you'll be on the A340-600, but there are no ratings for row 20

Cheers

Michael

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the response. I'll post reviews of the seats which have not been done yet on my return![8D].
Do you know if PE passengers can use the UC bar?

Cheers,

NeilH
