LGW-LAS, LAX-LHR

We are planning to do the above round trip this year, flying out on 23/9/04 and back on 7/10/04.
What are our chances of experiencing the Upper Class Suite on either (or both) leg? Reading the material, the LAX-LHR should be a certainty as all LHR aircraft are supposed to be converted by Spring 2004, but that does not look too likely at the moment.

Hi Ardbroilach and welcome aboard.

You should be OK on the LAX-LHR leg, we are doing LHR-LAX on Sep 4 and returning LAX-LHR on 17 Sep and expect suites both ways.

As for LGW-LAS, at this stage that is very doubtful but miracles do happpen, keep your fingers crossed. ;)

Thanks for that.
And would I be correct in thinking that my chances of doing the LGW-LAS flight on anything other than one of Alitalia cancelled orders planes?
We are getting a good deal on the flights but would still ike to be sure that we would be getting our money's worth on the upgrade from PE to UC. We recently flew flat beds on BA, against which the old seating configuration on the bucket and spade routes looks pretty dated and I may have made the mistake of telling my wife that there would be flat bed seating, albeit the J2000 rather than the UC Suite.

Unfortunately I think the LGW flight will almost certainly be in the Alitalia configuration. [:(] The J2000 seats are only likely to exist on the odd A340-300/600 by then, and these are most unlikely to be used on this route.

Hi,

I agree with Black Cat.

The chances of a swap is probably the same probability of walking away with a lot of winnings from a casino in Vegas or a snowball lasting longer than a few minutes in the desert in June :D

The Recaro seats are still comfy ( and sure beats Row 65 in Y!!)

TBS, That's precisely what I intend to do in just over three weeks time! ;)

Your not staying in the Bellagio are you James, pix gets real upset when others stay in 'his' hotel and he can't come out to play. ;)
