Hi Everyone,

I've been a reader of the forum for a while, and generally have been able to find any info that I need, however I cannot seem to find anything on my latest question.

I've been collecting points on a Virgin Atlantic Credit Card for the past year and a bit, and have managed to book reward flights a few times (including a Virgin America flight).

I've now "bought" additional Flying Club points and booked a flight from LAX - BNE. The only date available is 1 day after my 'ideal' flight date, so I have taken this. However (and here is the question) - is there any way I can check reward availability for a Virgin Australia flight online? Is it simply a matter of going via the VA website, searching for the flight and selecting "points" - and if so, does availability there mean availability with Flying Club points, or only a possibility of it being available with Flying Club points?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Flipper and welcome to V-Flyer as a poster!

In my experience booking Virgin Australia flights, there is no way to check online as you can with VS flights. I had to call the call centre and get them to check and book for me using my VS FC miles. It meant I could only get economy flights - which was fine for internal flights in Australia.

The call centre was quite happy to ask about availablility for a range of dates, so I'd give them 2 or 3 possible dates and see what they come back with.

Good luck
Martin

Thanks Martin.

I managed to do some more research last night, and I think what I must have read somewhere previously, is that it is possible to check Delta reward availability, which does then show Virgin Australia reward availability (for routes that VA cover).

Does that sound familiar to anyone?
