V-Flyer

Picked this up from a post on flyer talk and then checked the VS website Guest List page

where it states

... and is available to book for flights departing before 1 May 2016.

and

Remember, you must call at least 21 days before your flight, and you must be travelling before 1 May 2016.

Anyone have any more info / thoughts?

I don't mind if it is being stopped. I quite like the idea of being rewarded for my loyalty rather than being able to buy the perks that come with loyalty.

Seat Plus is also stopping too.

Guest List I can sort of understand: I've heard VS have had complaints about the LHR CH being too busy since DL moved into T3. And maybe VS think they're losing money because people who might consider flying UC are just buying Guest List instead.

Seat Plus I'm more surprised about - it's a win win for passengers who are prepared to pay a bit more for extra space & privacy and VS who get a bit of money for a seat that would otherwise go unsold. But, as above, maybe VS feel people are opting for Seat Plus when they might otherwise fly PE.

I guess given the recent announcement of job losses it could also be they no longer feel they'll have sufficient staff at The Office to administer non-essential extras.
