Does anyone know about this?

Age of aircraft? Were they all refitted in 2012?

Anything scheduled for them?

I'm off to Vegas in April UC and was wonder what to expect?

Thanks

Hi

There are a couple of recent threads which show all the hours run by each a/c which is very helpful.

The Gatwick based fleet were all refurbished in 2012 and are all relatively young. All have touch screen entertainment.

G-VBIG 'Tinkerbell' will be joining the Gatwick fleet from Heathrow soon but should be refurbished first.

Some are quite 'young'. All were 'refreshed' and fitted with the latest IFE in 2012.

A great time in a 14 seat UC cabin and looks of envy from LHR flyers who will no longer have the A zone of the 747 to look forward to. Are you talking seat / IFE / service / weather?

Thanks.

Flying 6A out with my Mrs in 6K.

Then 7A and 7K coming back.

There should be 7 of me and my friends out of the 14 seats.

Are the seats ok? I can't find any reviews on those seats or pictures?

The seats themselves are the standard non UCDS suite that serves in the 747/346 fleet.

Though there are one or two who's tastes run differently I think it fair to say that 6AK and 7AK are popular seats for couples amongst V-Flyers, as they are toe to toe very close and have no passing traffic.

Or more specifically, to the same spec and layout as the other 'leisure' 747s.

Have a look in the trip report section

toolbox_trip_report_index.php

Select most flights leaving Gatwick - all 747's are the same as the Vegas ones ( unless they've been substituted with a LHR config which are actually worse)

Check out the Orlando ones VS 015, 027, 075 - in upper especially - there are plenty. That should keep you reading, probably until your about to depart ;)

Enjoy - they are great planes !

Thanks for that.

Its a shame not enough people don't post more pictures with their reviews.

I flew UC in 2012 to Miami and had the full Heathrow check in experience and loved it.
