G Class tickets .. how many miles earnt ?

Hi guys
when I booked my tickets the guy said that I would need to call back after the flight to have the miles manually added for our flight .. but does anyone know how many miles would be earnt with a G ticket man-mco ?

If you paid for an economy or PE ticket then used miles to upgrade to a G, you will earn miles for the paid-for segment of the ticket. And you will indeed have to call FC after you get back to have the miles credited.

If you paid for economy you'll earn 4224 miles one way (plus 3 TPs). If you paid for PE it's 6336 miles plus 4 TPs. And if you're silver or gold you'll get bonus miles on top.

If you paid for your G using only miles however, you won't earn any more miles.

You will earn the underlying miles based on the cash fare you paid but if it was a straight G reward then you don't get miles and TPs.

You can find the number of miles by doing a dummy booking for the cabin your original booking was in - it's listed in one of the tabs (I think 'fare rules')

I usually use the Earn calculator under the Flying Club tab on VA website.
