Any chance of sale extension?

No idea if this question is a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' but thought if anyone knew the answer, it'd be you lot .

Hoping to book some seats next August in UC from Man-Bgi & there are currently seats available at sale price. We're hoping to go for 3 weeks from about 3rd Aug but as the sale ends on 21st September, to be able to get cheaper seats, we'd have to go earlier & come back probably on 19th Aug.

Unless the sale is extended. We managed to nab sale prices for this years flights as BA extended their sale last September & VS followed. I've tried to search to see if sale extensions are common (I realise it probably depends on what they've sold, whether BA extend among other things, hence the how long's a piece of string), but does anyone know the likelihood of VS extending the sale for another week?

Or, does anyone know if there's likely to be another sale in the foreseeable? Not keen on risking this option as we need 7 seats & ideally don't want to have to traipse to LGW.

you cannot rely on anything in a sale - that it will be extended or that the flights, cabin or dates you want are going to be included.

If there is an extension it's more likely to be to extended by a couple of days for booking rather than including any new dates within it.

Thanks. An extension of the number of days the sale is on is what I was after. Last year the sale was extended by another week (I think) & if the same happened this year, we'd be able to book the dates we're after. With the sale currently finishing on 21st, it's literally just a few days short of us returning when we want.

If your prepared to gamble and wait, there is usually a reward sale in Jan or Feb.

That's great thanks. Not sure I could hold my nerve to try to get 7 seats that late. Might have to move the hol forward a week to try to bag cheaper seats.

The sale has been extended to October 4th. Hopefully this will pay off for you!

Any link to where this is published? I spoke with FC last night to pout some seats on hold and they said they have no knowledge and the sale ends tonight

Thanks slimpy. Great news & although it doesn't say UC seats are in the sale, they seem to still be reduced for my journey. I just need them to be on offer in 2 more days to get the dates I'm looking for, so fingers firmly crossed
