According to latest email VH are now offering the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club discounts directly on the checkout page so you don't have to do phone or in-store booking to get the discounts you can now do it online.

Sadly, no mention of the Frequent Virgin Club discount being applied in the same way so it's still phone or in-store for that (which is a real pain as I just dropped from Gold to Silver, yet again, so I'll have to use Frequent Virgin Club to get my 10% off anyway unless I prefer the extra miles to the extra 3%).

I would be wary of using this facility on Virgin Holidays website - I did a dummy booking for a Las Vegas holiday and it was showing an online discount of £120 per person before I got to entering passenger details. When I entered my FC number on the passenger details page, the price shoots up as the online discount that was showing is removed. I would expect that you cannot use both discounts and the current online discount is far better than the FC discount.

The online discount being offered works out at 17.3% so it is more than 10% (Original Price £691pp, with online discount £571pp) - as you have stated, it will vary depending on what you are booking and when. Can you confirm my thoughts and try a three night holiday to Wynn Las Vegas departing 23rd Jan 2017 for 2 people and see if I am correct in my thinking?

Wow - I take it back, you are quite correct! Just for transparency, my search was for 3 people to Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, 7 days from April 29th, UC flights, King Sea View Rooms. Took about £200 off the pp price.
One would hope that holiday bookers would notice if their costs suddenly shot up!!
