JFK - EWR Transfers to NYC and back

HI,

Has anyone got any recommendations for the above. I have looked at Carmel and the price seems reasonable $88.00 one way for 6 passengers + bags. The online reviews however are not good and i'm a bit nervous of booking with them. Dial 7 seem ok but are double the price!!.

We are flying into EWR and out of JFK

Thanks,

cath

I have never had a problem with Carmel and have used them a couple of dozen times over the years.

They were very good when I accidentally ordered a car for 8am instead of 8PM - no fuss or drama or extra charges just wanting to help.

Remember tolls and tips aren't included in the $88 (and that's the same with the other companies).

Also during the booking please be specific about the amount of baggage you will have as that may require a larger vehicle than you think

Only done that trip once, cannot remember who we used but recall it taking a lot longer than expected.

Thanks Tonty, they are quoting us a for a large SUV which they say can fit 6 people and 6 bags, We are taking the 8.15am flight back to LHR, what time do you think we would need picking up from our hotel near Times Square?.

Also, on the Virgin website it says the bar in the JFK clubhouse is closed in the morning!! Not that I'm an alcoholic, but it would be nice to have a redhead with breakfast as it's our first time in there.

Thanks again,

Cath

Which day of the week are you travelling home on? If it's a Saturday or Sunday I would aim for collection at 5.30am, perhaps 5am if leaving on a week day.

We are travelling home on a Friday morning, I was planning 4.45am to be on the safe side.

True I'm afraid, due to local licensing laws.

Bars and restaurants in New York City can't serve liquor between 4am & 8am.

We had a good experience with Carmel last year. I was a bit shocked by some of the reviews I saw on Tripadvisor.
