LHR Clubhouse - arrival time and routines

My husband and I will be visiting the clubhouse for the first time soon, very much looking forward to it. Our flight is at 13.00, what time should we/can we arrive? We don't have breakfast at our hotel, so will definitely want to have some brekkie, plus I am going to try and book to get my nails done... Then I'm sure a drink or two before we board.. So just wondering how much time to allow for all of this and not feel rushed? Any other tips appreciated!

What Clubhouse will you be visiting?

The range of facilities on offer can be markedly different and the vloume of passengers in each is a key factor

Many V-Flyers (myself included) can happily spend 5 hours in there and not get bored but for some admittedly that may be overdoing it!

Bearing in mind you should be boarding just after midday, if you aim to check in around 8.30 you'll easily have 3 hours to have a nice breakfast, visit the deli, get your spa treatment and enjoy a Redhead or 3.

Arrive as early as you like. Have a breakfast or even an early lunch (or both) and wash them down with whatever tipple takes your fancy. Sit and watch the world go by, have your hair done, nails, massage.....it's all part of the holiday for me. Enjoy it. You will be glad you did.

The Heathrow Clubhouse can be vdery busy first thing - I would be aiming for 8:30 wish and upon entry, book the treatment, then go to the Brasserie for some brekky and thereafter find a quiet spot to savour a cocktail or two

One can never arrive too early at a Clubhouse! I arrived once at the LHR one at 9am for a 4pm departure because of my connecting flight. In the area I was sitting there was already a man in situ who was still there when I left and neither of us was bored during that time

When we have a 1300 flight we stay in an onsite hotel, get up wash and dress and over to the check in and CH.
We made the mistake a couple of years ago of having a breakfast at the Hilton and it was rubbish compared to the CH offerings.

I must admit we got in there early and took great pleasure in attempting to complete the whole cocktail menu

It does help having the lie flat beds for the next leg of the trip

We are travelling up the night before from South Wales and staying at the Hilton on Paddington station, and then getting on the heathrow express. No breakfast included so will definitely be eating at the Clubhouse... will just need to remember not to eat too much as also want to enjoy the 3-course lunch on-board!

A bird in the hand.....eat everything you can in the CH, it's delicious. The food on board is nice but not a patch on CH food IMHO but there is no good reason not to enjoy both to full capacity.

I'd be on a very early train. (I didn't realise it was so fast! 15 min. )
I'd plan to be in the CH by 8 or 9
That would give plenty of time for a couple of choices from the breakfast menu to go down before the flight.

I have only visited the LHR clubhouse once for an , and spent the best part of 9 hours in there (5 of those were due to a delay mind you) So my actual memories of the UC cabin are a bit sketchy to say the least aside from being awoken by what i thought was turbulence only to find we had landed......
