Hi,
I'm travelling UC from MAN-MCO in October I've booked a Z fare on the way out that comes without a car and and an I fare on the MCO-MAN return a week or so late.
Looking at the website am i right in correcting in thinking i get a chauffeur on all 4 ground legs of the journey due to the I fare inbound (Home>MAN | MCO>Hotel | Hotel>MCO | MAN>Home) ?
If so thats pretty neat and probably makes the Z&I fare a little better than a Z&Z fare alone
Thanks

Ha ha, afraid not. You'll get the CDC on the inbound legs only (Hotel>MCO | MAN> Home)
That said porridge, when you call up to book, see if the agent notices and lets you book all four

As above, say nothing...! But when you go through the booking process, towards the end it tells you what excess (if any) there is to pay.
A few years back when you could only book the cars by phone to Upper Class support I was on a D fare on the outbound flight (days before the I fare) and asked if I could have my two CDC's the D fare entitled me to in the UK, i.e. to/from MAN - and I got a very firm "no".
For the trip I have just done, I had great "fun" booking my CDC from MAN as my house is under 75miles radius from MAN, but more like 93 driven miles. At the time the VS website clearly stated that it was radius that mattered - took me a good 20mins arguing with Upper Class support for them to accept what a radius is (i.e. from point A to point B as the crow flies). They have since changed the wording on the website to make it clear it's driven miles (& btw, they use Google Maps to calculate the distance).
Finally, be aware that all the Tristar cars have card machines in them, so if there is an excess due don't expect to move very far from the pickup point until your card has gone through.

I had the same when I had a Z / I Fare combination.
Whe n I tried to book the Z Fares it came up "you do not qualify" even though the option was shown on the booking page.
As we all know the VS IT system is light years behind
buns
BTW - the system cannot cope at the present time if you ask for more than 2 bags!!

You're correct indeed
"We're sorry, your ticket type is not eligible for a complimentary car
We're sorry, the booking can't be made at this time. Please contact Upper Class Support on 0344-412-4666"
Should have gone all the way before bragging
Bah!
