Off to Orlando in February flying UC on an LGW 747.

Are there any seats with misplaced windows? currently in 9K outbound and 9A return.

Any comment on Lounge facilities at MCO gratefully received.

Hi

9 is my preferred Row , not too squashed and not too close to the bar.

Windows are there for a cricked neck.

MCO Lounge use is Delta sky, no food to speak of, if hungry use the Outback or fast food in terminal, (you can't bring in food either). so don't expect CH! but is relatively less hectic inside than sitting at the gate and the drinks are free :-D! it is way better than Miami shared lounge that remains truly awful much like MIA itself.

Enjoy your trip

I'm off to Orlando in February. 6A & 6K Which we like as a couple.
Outback is great for food, Sky lounge ok for snacks and drinks and has some comfy seating.
They charge for some drinks (fizzy wines) and only accept cards which can work out pricey if you factor in exchange fees and charges.

For choice, I always do the A side of the aircraft outbound (for the sunshine) and the K side inbound (for the sunrise). Row 9 is also my preferred row too.

As to the MCO lounge, it's the Delta Sky Club. Go in expecting a normal USA domestic lounge / paid access lounge and you won't be too disappointed. Go in expecting a Clubhouse and you will be VERY disappointed.

TBH, now that BA, Lufthansa & Emirates have moved over to the Club MCO lounge, the Sky Club is much better & a lot less crowded. Yes, the decor is about 15yrs out of date, but you can generally find seats together and it's a lot quieter than the areas downstairs by the departure gates. Basic beers, wines & spirits all available free of charge - you have to pay for the "premium" ones though.
